First conversation
We begin with a phone call, email, or studio visit at 47 Howe Street. You describe who lives in the home, which rooms feel stuck, and whether northern light or storage is the bigger pain. We suggest consultation length and a fee from ВЈ95 to ВЈ220 depending on complexity.
If the project is a good fit, we schedule measuring time at your address across Edinburgh—New Town, Stockbridge, or further afield.
Seeing the home in place
On site we note window aspect, traffic paths, and how sandstone and plaster details constrain furniture scale. We photograph for studio reference and listen for daily routines such as school runs and shared stair etiquette.
You leave with a short summary of priorities so nothing important is forgotten when we draft options.
Concept and material direction
Back at the studio we prepare two clear directions with furniture footprints, fabric families, and lighting notes. You choose a path; we refine rather than multiply endless versions.
Samples stay available on Howe Street so you can compare stone, sage, and warm white finishes under real daylight.
Specification and ordering
Once the direction is agreed, we issue a written scope with package fee in GBP and a list of items to order. Lead times for curtains and upholstery are stated upfront so family calendars can adapt.
You approve purchases before we place them; trades for hanging or painting are introduced only when needed.
Installation and settle-in
Delivery days are coordinated so someone is home. We place furniture, hang softs where included, and walk through care notes for fabrics that face Scottish weather and central heating.
A short follow-up visit within a fortnight lets us tweak lamp positions or cushion mix after you have lived with the rooms.
Ongoing care
Many clients return for seasonal restyling or a second room once the first feels right. Past project notes stay on file so we do not re-ask questions you already answered.
